We only collect information necessary for the App to function:

• Authentication Data: When you log in with Google, GitHub, or other providers, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not have access to your password.
• User Generated Content: The recipes you create, save, or publish, as well as comments, likes, and follows. This data is stored in Firebase and is visible to other users as per your privacy settings.
• Technical Data: Basic connection logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) necessary for security and server operation. These logs are retained for a limited period.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your user account.
• Allow you to generate recipes using Artificial Intelligence (via third‑party APIs like Groq).
• Display your profile and public recipes to other users.
• Improve security, fix bugs, and analyze usage trends (aggregated, non‑personal).
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

This application uses third‑party services to operate:

• Google Firebase: For authentication, database, and hosting. Firebase processes data according to its own privacy policy. Learn more.
• AI APIs (Groq, etc.): To generate recipe text. We send the ingredients you input (and optionally your dietary preferences) to the AI API to obtain the result. We do not store the API responses beyond what you publish.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use advertising tracking cookies. We use localStorage and essential technical cookies to:

• Keep you logged in (authentication token).
• Remember your preferences (e.g., dark mode, reduced motion).
• Store cookie consent choices.

You can clear local storage at any time via your browser settings, but doing so may log you out.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (or request deletion), we will remove your profile and all associated content within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law. You may also delete individual recipes from the App settings.

6. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Object to processing or request data portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
